ECUADOR
Ephesians 2:10 – “For we are God’s handiwork, created in Christ Jesus to do
good works, which God prepared in advance for us to do.”
Ecuador, resting along the equator on South America’s Pacific coast, is home to about 18–19 million people living among diverse regions that include the Andes Mountains, Amazon rainforest, and coastal cities. The nation’s spiritual heritage has been historically shaped by Christianity, with Roman Catholicism recognized as the dominant faith tradition alongside a growing evangelical Protestant community. In a time of social change and economic challenge, many believers sense a call to deeper discipleship and compassionate outreach that reflects Christ’s heart for justice and restoration.
As God’s handiwork, Ecuador’s people carry purpose and potential, invited to walk in the good works prepared by Him — bringing light into communities and hope into complex national realities.
Prayer Focus:
- Pray for wise government leaders committed to justice, integrity, and courageous decisions that address difficult social issues with compassion and fairness.
- Ask the Lord to raise spiritual maturity within the Church — rooting out false teaching while awakening a renewed heart for the less evangelized and marginalized communities.
- Pray for effectively trained workers who are equipped to address both physical and spiritual poverty, serving with humility and wisdom so that lives across Ecuador are transformed by the love and truth of Jesus.
