JORDAN

John 7:38 –  “Whoever believes in me, as Scripture has said, rivers of living water will flow from within them.”

Jordan, located in the heart of the Middle East and bordering the Jordan River, is home to about 11–12 million people, including a significant number of refugees from neighboring countries. The nation’s dominant religion is Islam, practiced by the vast majority of the population, while a small but historic Christian community continues to live out its faith with resilience and quiet witness. Known for its stability within a complex region, Jordan stands at a crossroads of cultures, migration, and spiritual searching.

The promise of Jesus in John’s Gospel speaks of living water flowing from those who believe — a picture of hope, renewal, and spiritual life that can touch communities even in seasons of uncertainty and economic strain.

Prayer Focus:

  • Pray for Jordanians to discover lasting stability and hope in Jesus, finding peace that transcends social and economic pressures.
  • Ask God to strengthen believers to demonstrate a unified and compassionate witness among the unreached Muslim majority and among refugees seeking safety and belonging.
  • Pray for Christ’s provision and peace across the nation — wisdom for leaders, encouragement for families, and spiritual renewal that brings living water into every corner of Jordan.
