HAITI
Hebrews 12:1 – “Therefore, since we are surrounded by such a great cloud of
witnesses, let us throw off everything that hinders and the sin that so easily
entangles. And let us run with perseverance the race marked out for us.”
Haiti, located on the western portion of the Caribbean island of Hispaniola, is home to about 11–12 million people. The nation’s spiritual heritage is strongly shaped by Christianity, particularly Roman Catholicism and growing Protestant evangelical communities, while elements of traditional spiritual practices are also present within the cultural landscape. Amid ongoing economic challenges and social hardship, many Haitians continue to demonstrate deep resilience, faith, and hope rooted in community and worship.
The encouragement from Hebrews calls the people of Haiti to perseverance — laying aside burdens and pressing forward with faith, trusting God’s strength even through seasons of hardship. Across cities, villages, and mountain communities, the Church carries a powerful opportunity to reflect Christ’s compassion and healing.
Prayer Focus:
- Pray for wise, compassionate, and godly leaders within the Haitian government who will pursue justice, peace, and restoration for the nation.
- Ask that the truth of the Gospel would bring spiritual freedom and renewed hope, guiding many into deeper faith and transformation through Christ.
- Pray for the Haitian Church to embody Jesus’ love for the poor and needy — becoming a source of practical care, unity, and spiritual renewal that points communities toward lasting hope in Him.
