BRAZIL
Psalm 24:1–2 – “The earth is the Lord’s, and everything in it, the world, and all who live in it; for he founded it on the seas and established it on the waters.”
Brazil, the largest nation in South America, is home to about 215–218 million people, a vibrant and diverse population spread across vast cities, rainforests, and coastal regions. The nation’s spiritual landscape has been historically shaped by Christianity, with Roman Catholicism long recognized as the dominant faith tradition, alongside one of the world’s fastest-growing evangelical Protestant movements. Amid rich worship culture and deep spiritual hunger, Brazil faces social challenges that call for renewed discipleship, compassion, and Gospel-centered transformation.
As Psalm 24 reminds us, Brazil belongs to the Lord — every city, river, and life held within His sovereign care. In a land full of passion and influence, God continues to raise voices of faith that carry hope into difficult spaces.
Prayer Focus:
- Pray for churches across Brazil to be strengthened in sound Bible teaching, deep discipleship, and Christ-centered leadership that anchors believers in truth.
- Ask the Holy Spirit to move powerfully through prison ministries and Gospel initiatives, flooding places of confinement with freedom and redemption.
- Pray for the hope of Jesus to rescue and restore those trapped in cycles of crime, drugs, and violence — that families, communities, and entire neighbourhoods would encounter healing and new life through Christ.
